So the new Twilight movie comes out today, and, in order to combat the plaque of sparkly vampires that are consuming the public consciousness, I wanted to focus on some other vampires… who are almost as goofy. Luckily, a new TV ad for Daybreakers — that vampires-in-charge-of-the-world flick starring Willem Dafoe and Ethan Hawke — was released this week.

Do I need to tell you how much I love the narration change from pleasant female professional to diabolical monster man? I wish all commercials did that. “Welcome to Shoney’s… ENJOY THE BREAKFAST BAR.” “I believe in Crystal Light… BECAUSE I BELIEVE IN ME.” “It’s a Mazda sales event… ZOOM ZOOM.” Hell, the Twilight marketing team might want to look into this technique — it’s sure not going to make their movie any goofier.
