Kick It Old-School, Charlie Brown

Dudes. I can’t even pretend to not be totally thrilled by Dark Horse’s new Then & Now Peanuts sets. There have never (or almost never) been any figures or statues based on Charles Schulz’s comic’s earliest days, until April of next year, when Dark Horse puts these guys out. Now, I don’t think that Peanuts’ early days are better or worse than its latter days, but there’s metric tons of merchandise of Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the others in their modern guises. I want old-school Charlie Brown and Snoopy, dammit!

Actually, I’ll have to get a both a classic and a modern version of each, since Dark Horse will be selling them in sets of Charlie Brown and sets of Snoopy — you can see the modern version figures over at ToyNewsI (I didn’t bother). Each two-pack of vinyl figures will be $25. Now, I’ll happily pay $25 a piece for classi Snoopy and Charlie Brown. If I get a free modern vinyl figure with each, so much the better.
