Comic Movie Casting News of Varying Importance and Authenticity

?There have been two comic movie casting announcements over the weekend, and neither are quite important enough for me to give them their own articles. So let me simply tell you:
? John Malkovich (MALKOVICH!) has said he’s playing the Vulture in Spider-Man 4
? Blake Lively (Gossip Girl) has been cast as Carol Ferris in Green Lantern
Now, the Malkovich/Vulture announcement would be big if it were 100% happening, but since this is just Malkovich talking and nothing’s been signed — not to mention that Spidey 4 was recently put on hold — there’s no guarantee it’s true. Goodness only knows what villain the new script will feature, and it might or not be the Vulture. Suffice to say, if the Vulture does end up as the bad guy, Malkovich (MALKOVICH) is great choice to play him.
Now, Blake Lively has definitely been cast as Hal Jordan’s gal pal Carol Fenris, so we may take this as fact. I don’t watch Gossip Girl, so I can’t say anything about Lively’s acting talents, but since I don’t have the slightest conception of Carol Ferris’ personality (does she have one?) I don’t even know if this matters. I’m sure you Green Lantern fans can shed some light (tee hee!) on the matter. (Via Cinema Blend and Geeks of Doom)
