Disappointment of the Apes

?Say what you will about Tim Burton’s Planet of the Apes movie — no, seriously, say what you want; I’ve never seen it and have no intention of doing so — but I did appreciate that the ape actors were in make-up and prosthetics. I guess I assumed that Fox’s Conquest of the Planet of the Apes remake, Rise of the Apes, would do the same thing, but that was silly. Here’s Andy Serkis as Caesar in his mo-cap suit, waiting for someone to CG a bunch of shit on him. Sigh. I know I shouldn’t be surprised or disappointed, but I am. (Via Blastr)
