Doctor Who Gives a @#$%
The rumor that Johnny Depp has been hired to play the Doctor in a big-budget, American-made Doctor Who movie is so stupid I have absolutely refused to acknowledge it with even an article discussing how bullshit it is (it’s a great deal of bullshit). However, I will agree with io9 that it would be far better to give Depp the role than, say, Jack Black.
I find the above fan video to be eerily prescient about the results of a second, American attempt at Doctor Who. Although I can’t help but think the police box TARDIS would get scrapped, too. I’d bet on Ford sponsoring the show and throwing the Doctor in an SUV. Or maybe a port-a-potty. Thanks to Arsenal for the tip.
