SDCC: Author Max Brooks Thinks Brad Pitt Is Going to Star in the World War Z Movie

?I love Max Brooks. He’s written The Zombie Survival Guide, World War Z, and is the son of Mel Brooks. What’s not to love? Anyways, he told MTV that the World War Z movie is finally moving forward, and Brad Pitt is “officially” attached to star, which would be very cool. Unfortunately, it’s not like the writer is the best source of information on their projects in Hollywood, so until something gets announced in a trade — and even then, because shit falls apart all the time, as we all know — I’m going to file this under the “wishful thinking” tag. I’d love for it to be true, and I don’t blame Brooks at all, because he’s certainly been told this by people who should know, and because I think we would really get along if he met me (email me, Max!).
