The Anime of Supernatural Looks Like…Something Also
On Monday, Rob featured the trailer for the next season of Supernatural. So nicely bookending the week is the above teaser for Supernatural: The Anime. As you can see, the animation is pretty beautiful stuff. It remains to be seen how Sam and Dean’s adventures will translate to anime, but the artform opens up a world of possibilities for the characters. The 22-episode series is being produced by Madhouse Studios, who was responsible for releases ranging from Batman: Gotham Knights to Vampire Hunter D. Regardless of what you think about those, you have to admit that they are visually stunning. Meanwhile, most of my knowledge of Supernatural revolves around how the show was going to feature Jason Voorhees on an episode, but never did. So I haven’t the foggiest notion as to what the fan reaction to this is. And while we’re on the subject, how come Jason never did his cameo on the show? That sounds like it could have been a lot of fun. (Via Anime News Network)
