TR Exclusive! Adam WarRock Single “NES Hard”

As you can tell, I’m a big lover of nerd music, probably because I grew up listening to Weird Al and that Dr. Demento 20th Anniversary Collection over and over again. But this is just one of the reasons I’m delighted to be exclusively posting one of the new tunes from Adam Warrock’s new album “Ira Glass.” Another reason is because in reality Adam WarRock is Eugene Ahn, podcast extraordinaire of War Rocket Ajax and a super nice guy. Another reason is that the song, whose beat is J-Zone’s “5-star Hoopty,” is awesome — I post a lot of songs where the nerdery far outstrips the talent, but not here — Adam WarRock is for real, guys. Another reason is that his nerdery doesn’t suffer for his musical talent — you can hear all the old-school gaming references in the song, but his musical career also includes songs about Scott Pilgrim, Don Glover playing Spider-Man, not having watched Doctor Who, and his upcoming debut album is loosely based on the Infinity Gauntlet saga.

Okay, I’ve made my point. The only other thing you need to know is that the “Ira Glass” title track only costs a buck, and is available right here (and on iTunes and Amazon, too). You check out the official site for more tracks, more info, and just… more. I doubt you’ll regret it.
