The Avengers Assembly, Part 4

I know, I know, you’re probably sick of me post these Avengers cartoon minisodes. Well, I’ll stop posting them the minute they stop being awesome. Marvel’s up to 13 now (they’re all here), including the Wasp handing Whirlwind his ass entirely by her lonesome, more Hawkeye and Black Widow versus the Hulk action, and a bit about how this is all Loki’s plans, but for my money, this episode above is the best so far, where the Reaper tries to break Baron von Strucker out of SHIELD superjail and Nick Fury takes care o’ business. There’s a lot of great action, but if you were at all perturbed why Fury wasn’t A) bald like Sam Jackson or B) have the white streaks like his Marvel comic counterpart, rest assured that the writers knew what they were doing.

Obviously, it’s a bit soon to compare Avengers to Justice League in terms of overall quality. But it’s definitely got the same scope — I can’t believe some of the characters they’ve brought out in this thing. Honestly, I don’t need Avengers to be as amazing as JL — I’m just thrilled that the people making this cartoon care enough to do the Marvel universe as properly as JL did DC.
