Someone Is Writing a Third X-Files Movie for Some Godforsaken Reason

?Let’s begin with something positive — this news is incredibly sketchy, since it comes from a translation of a foreign magazine article (interviewing David Duchovny) which itself was reported by Comic Book Movie. There are images of the Virgin Mary that have appeared in house mold that are more credible. But just in case, because everyone else is reporting it, apparently David Duchovny told a French magazine that a third X-Files movie was being written.
I don’t know why. That show squandered all of its fan good will back when it was still on the air, eight years ago. It’s done. It’s over, Chris Carter. When the porn parodies of your series are better than the official movies, it’s time to give it up. Just let some young jackass like McG make a terrible reboot series in the next few years. IT’S THE CIRCLE OF LIFE, SIR. At least in Hollywood. (Via io9)
