Looks Like Venom and Deunan Knute Shop at the Same Armor Store

?Topless Roboteer Andy H. noticed something odd after I posted that Flash Thompson-is-the-new-Venom article earlier this week — namely that Venom’s new military duds are almost an exact replica of Deunan Knute’s armor from the CG Appleseed anime movies. Same chest plate, same forearm guards, same shin guards, same ankle guards…. very strange. Obviously, this armor could have been based on something real that I don’t know about, and both Appleseed and Venom were inspired by the same source; if you happen to know what that might be, please tell me. Because otherwise, this is a bit awkward.
