Sailor Moon Is Coming Back, But Not in the Exciting Way

?There have been many reports that Sailor Moon is returning to America with all-new comics. There have even been some people saying Sailor Moon will even have new anime episodes.

This is not true.

The Sailor Moon manga is coming back to bookstore shelves, and that’s it. It’s the same comic that Tokyopop used to release until Kodansha took back the rights, and now Kodansha is re-releasing it. These books will include a bit of retouched art and dialogue and commentary and behind-the-scenes material from manga-ka Naoko Kakeuchi, but in no way, shape or form is Sailor Moon coming back with anything “new.” This is just an American release of the manga special editions Japan got in 2003. That is all. Settle the fuck down.
