The Hobbit Enjoys a Little Double-Bilbo Action

?Peter Jackson confirmed last week that Ian Holm will star as the elder Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit at some undisclosed point and for some undisclosed reason. I think we can pretty safely guess he’ll be in a prologue to the main movies, which will star Martin Freeman as Bilbo, or an epilogue, or both — possibly reading his story to some young hobbits, possibly even Frodo (remember, Elijah Wood is also rumored to be appearing in the film, too, and this scenario is about the only thing that makes sense). Frankly, I don’t think this news is particularly shocking, but once I thought up the article headline, there was no way I wasn’t running it. (Via First Showing)
