Enter the Exciting, Slightly Nauseating World of Tintin
Hey, it’s the first trailer for the CG Tintin movie. Now, a lot of you gave me grief last time for saying that Tintin was only a property that foreign people cared about, and I apologize. I still remain somewhat doubtful that the movie will do that well in America, even with Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson’s names attached, but this trailer does make the movie look damned exciting. Unfortunately, it also looks kind of upsetting, as they’ve chosen to make everything look like a super-realistic cartoon, and thus the movie overall looks like its taking a nap in the lowest point of the uncanny valley. Seriously, that shot of Tintin at the end actually made me shudder a little. Giving him two coal black eyes would actually be an improvement. Hell, giving him little mouths in his eyes might actually be less creepy. (Via Twitch)
