Namco Decides to Find Out What a Decent Tekken Movie Might Be Like
My hatred for Tekken is well known, but even I didn’t think the game deserved the awful live-action movie adaptation it got — a film so bad, even Bandai Namco said it sucked on toast (I’m paraphrasing). Well, there’s good news for fans of the crappy button-masher, because Namco is making a direct-to-DVD CG Tekken movie subtitled Blood Vengeance, much in the vein of the recent Resident Evil: Degeneration, and it looks pretty good, actually. Since it’s being made by one of the Cowboy Bebop screenwriters and the director of the Tekken game opening sequences, I imagine that’s probably as good a crew as a Tekken movie is ever going to get.
