The Star Wars Blu-Rays Have More “Nooos”, Rocks and Misogyny
I kid, I kid! Kind of. Because the Star Wars Blu-rays due out the Friday after next definitely have more rock and “NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!”s in them, but the misogyny comes pretty much solely from this deleted Empire Strikes Back scene (one of the extras, not included… I think) where Han Solo is a total asshole to Leia on Hoth. We talk a lot about how maybe George Lucas hates the original Original Trilogy because of his ex-wife/editor Marcia, who worked on them a great deal… I’m wondering how far back their problems shit go. Because a man rarely writes a scene where another man calls a woman an ice queen unless he’s not getting any at home. Just sayin’.
