The Ballad of the Fall of Cybertron
Let me explain why this cinematic trailer for the Transformers: Fall of Cybertron game shouldn’t work. 1) The robot designs are significantly cartoonier than the excellent designs from War for Cybertron. 2) The weird faux Avett brothers alt-Young Guns country song. 3) Grimlock breathes fire. So why is this trailer so completely awesome despite these things? Well, partially because a bunch of Transformers get the hell killed out of them, which is always neat. Then Bumblebee apparently dying makes the music work oddly well. The appearance of Bruticus makes up for a lot, too And as for Grimlock breathing fire, well, it’s GRIMLOCK BREATHING FIRE. It might make no sense, but it’s awesome as hell.
