Star Wars Uncut Gets a Special Edition (Kind of)

Back in August of last year, Star Wars Uncut — the fan project in which the original Star Wars film was broken into 472 15-second clips and remade with toys, animation, good live-action, terrible live-action and more — was released and everyone enjoyed it. Now it’s being released again as “The Director’s Cut,” although I have no idea what that actually entails. All I can think of it that it’s Star Wars Special Edition Uncut, so there’ll be a new 15-second clip of Greedo shooting first or something, but that doesn’t seem to be the case — apparently project creator Casey Pugh instead made a new version of the movie “that contains hand-picked scenes from the entire StarWarsUncut.com collection,” whatever that means. Anyways, if you missed it the first time or are as curious as I am about what the hell this director’s cut is all about, you can watch it above.
