Trek 2 Finally Starts Trekkin’

?After all the announcements, rumors, casting, lies and nonsense, I thought it might be worth mentioning that Star Trek 2 is finally entered real principal production, like with J.J. Abrams behind the camera and everything (no doubt already planning his first lens flare). As you’ll recall, the always awesome Benedict Cumberbatch will be playing the villain, and Peter Weller, Alice Eve and Doctor Who‘s Noel Clarke will be joining the Enterprise crew (Murray played Mickey in the first two seasons on nu-Who). The film will premiere in May 2013 and it will be in 3-D, of course, so feel free to start your bitching. Can a lens flare really be captured in 3-D? I guess we’ll see.
