Marvel Movie News Trifecta: Avengers, Avengers, Iron Man 3

? One more Avengers clip? Oh, why not. This time it’s part of the scene where Black Widow goes to pick up Bruce Banner. The scene is actually pretty awkward, but the bit where Banner trolls Widow at the end makes up for it.

? Meanwhile, Avengers is tracking 97% on Rotten Tomatoes with 29 reviews in, including ones by Variety, Associated Press and the Hollywood Reporter. It’s still a bit early, but I’d say that’s a very good sign. I kind of feel bad for the one lady who gave the “rotten” review, though. (Via FilmDrunk)
? And in excellent-actors-taking-supporting-roles-in-Marvel-movies news, Guy Pearce will play Aldrich Killian in Iron Man 3, who is the dude who invents the nanotechnology that ends up becoming Tony Stark’s Extremis armor. I haven’t read the comic, so I don’t know if Killian is good or bad or even has that much to do. Since Ben Kingsley is already the main villain, I can’t help but feel Pearce is a bit overqualified for the role, much like Sam Rockwell was in Iron Man 2. Oh well, if Pearce is fine with it, so am I — having an overabundance of talent isn’t going to hurt the movie, that’s for sure. (Via Blastr)
