Bill Murray Is Kind of Being an Asshole About Ghostbusters 3 at This Point

When we last left the saga of Ghostbusters 3, Bill Murray was reportedly shredding scripts without reading them and/or denying he’d ever seen any script for Ghostbusters 3 since Dan Aykroyd started talking about it a decade ago, while Aykroyd had given up trying to get him and was moving on with the movie anyways. So of course Murray went on Letterman last week and said that he’s on board with the movie, and is just waiting for a good script, but he thinks it’s going to happen. You can watch the interview here.
Fuck it. I refuse to even waste my time forming thoughts about this anymore. There’s absolutely no telling what will happen at this point. All I know is it ends up starring Murray it will probably be good, and if it doesn’t it’ll probably be bad. That’s all I got. Let’s move on. (

About The Author
Robert Bricken is one of the original co-founders of the site formerly known as Topless Robot, and its first editor-in-chief, serving from 2008-12. He brought the site to prominence with “nerd news, humor and self-loathing” as its motto, raising it from total internet obscurity to a readership in the millions, with help from his savage “FAQ” movie reviews and Fan Fiction Fridays. Under his tenure Topless Robot was covered by Gawker, Wired, Defamer, New York magazine, ABC News, and others, and his articles have been praised by Roger Ebert, Avengers actor Clark Gregg, comedian and The Daily Show correspondent John Hodgman, the stars of Mystery Science Theater 3000 and Rifftrax, and others. He is currently the managing editor of io9.com. Despite decades as both an amateur and professional nerd, he continues to be completely unprepared for either the zombie apocalypse or the robot uprising.
