Here Is Your First Terrible Look at Tauriel

As we’ve seen with Radagast, Peter Jackson is committed to leaking small, blurry, terrible photos of the cast of The Hobbit before letting people get a good/decent/coherent look at them. This bold marketing approach continues with Tauriel, the non-canonical elf-lady that Peter Jackson made up for the film who will played by Lost‘s Evangeline Lilly. She makes her stunning debut as half of a tiny picture on a toy package which someone has taken a blurry picture of. So that’s great. I hate to draw any conclusions from such a terrible photo of a not particularly good photo, but I have to wonder if Tauriel has some kind severe spinal injury, because I don’t think he neck is supposed to bend like that. Also, she might be a man.
