You’ve just laid a savage beat-down on your opponent. He stands, groggily, rolling his head around in a way that makes you think he must be stretching his neck but no, he’s actually barely conscious. His body is doing these odd motions to make abundantly clear that he’s finished… welll, almost finished. You now have your opponent at your mercy. What is your ultimate finishing move?!

That’s the subject of this weekend’s contest, sponsored by Insert Coin Apparel and their awesome videogame tees (you may remember them as the makers of that insanely subtle MGS Calber’s Ketchup logo shirt and the awesome Shenmue Ryu’s Hazuki Tiger shirt). They’re awarding three of their shirts to clever Topless Roboteers this weekend. Since Insert Coin concentrates on game-inspired apparel, I thought it’d be best to concentrate on a game-inspired contest; hence, give me the name of your ultimate finishing move, and describe it.
It doesn’t have to be a regular physical attack. It can be some crazy ninja shit. It can be a mental or emotional attack. It can be merely confusing. It can be something completely esoteric (e.g. Soul Calibur‘s Cervantes, who’s finishing move should totally have been to write Don Quixote). All I know for certain is that it has to have a ridiculous somewhat thematically appropriate name you can shout out when you perform it.
So that’s that. One entry per person (you can’t have more than one ultimate finishing move, obviously), and as always, try not to write an essay. The contest ends at 12:01 am EST on Monday, September 10th. Much, much thanks to Insert Coin for sponsoring the contest; they make some of my favorite videogame apparel on the nerdernet, no foolin’, so please check them out. You guys have a great weekend, and if any of you see any Truffala trees while you’re out and about, make sure you cut those bastards down, okay?
