The Evil Dead Remake Is Evil, Bloody, and Still Unnecessary
As prophesied, the trailer for the Evil Dead remake arrived today, and about the best thing you can say about it is that unlike almost all modern horror flicks, there doesn’t seem to be any CG bullshit. This would be more impressive if there weren’t already a movie titled Evil Dead that didn’t use any CG bullshit, but whatever. As you can see, the movie seems like it will include both someone cutting off their own evil hand and a rape tree… meaning the new movie seems to be devoid of new ideas and the dark sense of humor that made the Evil Dead movies classics in the first place. So really, all the Evil Dead remake has going for it is that it can finally show a tree sexually assaulting a girl using the benefits of today’s technology. …great?
