GIVEAWAY: The American Scream Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack and Limited-Edition Poster

As you decorate your house for the holidays, spare a though for those obsessive souls who are already planning their festive fare…for next October. The American Scream documents the lives of people who spend the entire year decking their halls for Halloween, creating the ultimate neighborhood haunted houses. It’s directed by Michael Paul Stephenson, star of Troll 2 and director of Best Worst Movie, and the Blu-ray features an 8-minute follow-up short film.

This Blu-ray/DVD combo pack will not be available at major retailers until next fall, and right now can only be ordered on the movie’s official website. But we have one to give away to a Topless Robot reader, and it comes with a limited-edition Johnny Sampson poster worth $45 (poster image after the jump).

Here’s what you have to do to enter: in comments below, pitch me an auteur-driven Halloween reboot, like Rob Zombie’s Halloween but not. It can be a good one or a terrible one – what might Stanley Kubrick’s Halloween look like? How about Uwe Boll’s? Who would star? Enter as many times as you like – whichever entry entertains me the most will win (Sorry, this is only open to residents of the 48 continental United States). Contest closes Dec. 26th at 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time), so you know what to do when you get bored of hanging around your family on Christmas Day.
