Many of you were right and I was wrong. I thought that, like with the Dark Horse comics, Disney would honor existing contracts for projects already in process. But I guess when no other licensee is involved, they don’t have to. LucasArts is now no more, and the game about the seedier side of the Star Wars underworld is a direct casualty.

I wouldn’t necessarily chalk this up to Disney being heavy handed with the family friendly; seems more like cutthroat capitalism to kill an asset that was not absolutely necessary to them. But with Disney’s own video game division solely focused on Disney Infinity last time we looked, it seems like it might be a long time till the next game in a galaxy far, far away.
