I thought I was an awkward gamer sometimes. But now that UK YouTuber “tehraptortheo” has secretly recorded his dad playing GTA V, I realize there are people in this world I am better than.
His dad’s actually a really good sport, and a uniquely polite player, exclaiming nothing worse than “Pisswater!” when things go wrong, arguing the semantics of a parking lot versus a parking structure, and taking more joy in the fact that the game allows him to drive a bus than anything else. If I tried to get my English mother to play, not only would the controller likely end up broken, but it would end with a long series of questions about why Americans feel the need to act out their violent urges in such a manner.
