Hey, remember when I went to the exhibit of artwork for this movie, but I wasn’t actually allowed to show you any of it, and had to rely on pure description? Now you can see if I was accurate or not.
It is visually gorgeous, for sure, and the tinkering with the Fox logo is fun. But then, after creating its own vibrant world, the trailer has to close with…a Biz Markie reference? REALLY, Fox? I mean, it’s funny, but it takes you right out of things. I don’t recall any Pixar movie trailers relying on, say, a Run-DMC joke to seal the deal.
