I don’t tend to print rumors unless I believe they have a decent foundation, and, well…I used to work for Deadline.com founder Nikki Finke, so I know her sources tend to be solid on this stuff. On her new site which launched today, she claims to have WB/DC’s long-term movie plan that will likely be revealed at Comic-Con, and it goes a little something like this:
May 2016 – Batman v Superman
July 2016 – Shazam
Xmas 2016 – Sandman
May 2017 – Justice League
July 2017 – Wonder Woman
Xmas 2017 – Flash and Green Lantern team-up
May 2018 – Man Of Steel 2
Interesting that they’ve apparently dropped the notion that Batman V Superman is in any way Man of Steel 2. Or that Sandman is listed as part of the plan, with no mention whatsoever of Justice League Dark (which was possibly derailed by the Constantine TV show). Also, if this plan pans out, it means there’ll be a different movie Flash simultaneous with what DC no doubt hopes is a TV Flash still on the air. Also again, perhaps obviously, Green Lantern won’t be Ryan Reynolds.
Then again, this could all just be WB floating some ideas to see how people react. Or it could be speculation. But with Nikki, there’s usually some degree of fire to the smoke.
