Walking Dead Spinoff Casts British, Australian Actors

We know it’s going to take place in a different location, but could it be the UK? London-born Frank Dillane and Australian Alycia Debnam Carey are the first cast members to be announced, but given the current series’ penchant for casting British actors as Southerners, their national origin doesn’t necessarily mean anything. The show, still-untitled but nicknamed “Cobalt,” will apparently center on “a male divorced teacher and a female guidance counselor”; Dillane and Debnam Carey will play the counselor’s children.
Not to be “that guy” who always complains about race in casting, but I was hoping for a radically different location – Asia or Africa, maybe – and this casting suggests more of the same. Though if it’s in Europe or Australia, that could be fun.
