If you saw “Superbowl” in the headline and thought, “Why is this nerdy?” check out one of the many fake monikers included in the skit, above. Yes, it’s a newer version of the running gag where they make fun of weird football player names and the approximate geographic regions of the country such specific weirdness is likely to come from. And it cracks me up every time, even though I barely know a damn thing about football besides touchdowns. (Edit: which is why I didn’t initially know the sketch above features actual football players.)
Comedy Central should have actually run this at half-time; I’d watch it over puppies or Katy Perry.
