The Boondock Saints Director Spoofs Knight Rider, and It’s Pretty Fun.

Troy Duffy is infamous in Hollywood for having made The Boondock Saints, burned all his bridges, then sold enough merchandise to self-produce a sequel. People love those movies, beyond all reason – they’re not terrible, but that’s about all you can say.

So it’s a nice surprise that this Knight Rider fan film he wrote and produced (and appears in, along with Sean Patrick Flanery) is the best-scripted thing he’s ever put out there. What starts as a one-joke skit gets progressively darker until it evolves into a take on the material that I wouldn’t mind seeing a feature version of. And he avoids cheap Hasselhoff humor completely!

Sorry.) Prior to TRV, Luke wrote for publications that include the New Times LA, Los Angeles CityBeat, E! Online, OC Weekly, Geekweek, GeekChicDaily, The L.A. Times, The Village Voice, LA Weekly, and Nerdist
