If Office Space Had Starred the Actual Michael Bolton

Nowadays, with the music scene as fragmented and diverse as it has become, it’s hard to imagine the charts being dominated by a foghorn-sounding white dude with ’80s glam-rock hair badly covering soul classics atop the charts. But it happened, and it was terrible. In the years since, however, Michael Bolton has shown such a healthy sense of humor about himself that it’s hard to stay mad at the guy. His collaboration with the Lonely Island was amazing, and now Funny or Die has inserted him into Office Space as his namesake character.
It seems like an overly obvious gag at first, but to anyone who remembers the guy’s initial wave of fame – and controversy over whitewashing old standards – the last scene’s a killer.
