Thanks to Indiegogo, We Might Get a Super Troopers 2

If you want more raucous antics from the world’s raunchiest Vermont residents, you can help fund the project.

There has always been something oddly satisfying and pure about the films of Broken Lizard. The troupe, which includes Jay Chandrasekhar, Paul Soter, Steve Lemme, Erik Stolhanske, and Kevin Heffernan, started making movies in 1996 with Puddle Jumper, and hit cult status in 2001 with the release of Super Troopers. They went on to make Club Dread (a slasher spoof), Beerfest (a film about drankin’), and The Slammin’ Salmon (a film about rival waiters). They are direct, dirty, and seem to be the only comedian who are properly carrying to torch for National Lampoon.

One of their many planned upcoming projects is a sequel to Super Troopers, called, natch, Super Troopers 2. They want to get started filming as early as this summer. All they need is your help.

Yes, the Lizard boys have started an Indiegogo campaign to raise $2 million as quickly as possible. A donation of $35,000 will get you an actual patrol car (plus a lot of other credits, goodies, and tchotchkes).

Do you want more Broken Lizard? The time is meow.
