I’m not a big fan of Hasbro’s Superhero Squad or Spider-man & Friends pre-school lines, nor Mattel’s Spidey-sized Superfriends series, partially because I think the sculpting could be better (even for youngsters) and partially because I’m old and the toys are not intended for me in any way, shape or form, and thus my opinion is less than irrelevant at best and completely asinine at worst. However!
Mattel took me to see their new Superhero Squad-sized DC Super Friends line, due in May, which is pretty damed awesome.
You can see all the figures above (even the Penguin looks cute!), including Superman with Krypto and the Joker with a mallet-equipped car. But the star of the series is this Batcave playset:
It’s got a jail, grappling hooks, a garage that opens the door when Batman’s Batcycle is turned, and more, and I wholeheartedly approve of it and the entire series. Please inform every preschool kid you meet.
