Mattel Has Already Run Out of DC Characters You’ve Heard Of
I think it took Toy Biz like 10 or 11 waves of Marvel Legends figures before they had really started having to scrape the bottom of the Marvel superhero barrel. The more efficient Mattel has managed to do it in wave 8 of their DC Universe Classics, which will include Hawkgirl, Dr. Fate, Gentleman Ghost, and a bunch of people I have absolutely no clue about. Big Bad Toy Store says these figures are Mr. Terrific, Vigilante, Commander Steel and Parademon, but I honestly think they’re making those names up. Really mattel? You don’t want to do a Kyle Raynor Green Lantern before Gentleman fucking Ghost? Maybe a comic accurate Two-Face instead? Good lord.
Giganta is the build-a-figure, clearly, and BBTS says Dr. Fate will have a modern outfit variant, and Parademon will have a red variant. Since I doubt this wave will be flying off toy store shelves, I imagine you won’t have a rough time tracking ’em down.
