Shockwave Says the War for Cybertron Begins on June 22nd

?Dudes. I figured the awesome-looking Transformers: War for Cybertron game would be a holiday ’10 release at the earliest — we just saw the damn teaser trailer last month. But the release date has been announced, and it’s four and a half damn months away — June 22nd! For Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Wii, and Nintendo DS! Nice! But that’s not the only news — Kotaku says if you pre-order the game from GameStop, you get Shockwave (above) as an exclusive playable character (although odds are he’ll likely be available as DLC eventually). Really, I just saw another War for Cybertron character design and wet my pants a little. Man, these things are perfect — easily identifiable, distinctive, reminiscent of G1 but far more complex. I’d like to think Michael Bay is kicking himself for picking his glue-scrap-metal designs over these, but I imagine that would require him to be cognizant of opinions other than his own, which I very, very much doubt he is.
