Man Takes Racing Games to the Next Level — Reality
Not like on-the-streets reality, because that would require way too much time and money. But Malte Nemlich decided to make a real-life racing game that would recreate the videogaming experience, but with actual camera-mounted remote control cars, a massive 3-D track stored in some warehouse, and even an arcade cabinet for players to control the car, complete with a tilting seat to best portray that Wipeout-style gliding gameplay. It’s extremely, extremely impressive — now he just needs to get two cars going at the same time, equipped with little missiles that the cars can fire at each other. Thanks to Kenneth M. for the tip.
