Oh @#$%, the He-Man Movie Is Back On

?That’s it. That’s the news. Sony vice-president DeVon Franklin said in an interview somewhere:

One of other things I’m really excited about is we’re doing a reboot of
the 1980s franchise Masters of the Universe. The He-Man franchise.
Very excited about that. Should have that script very soon. I’m praying
that we can start figuring out how we’re going to make it.

Errrgh. I know you guys think I’m some kind of insane G1 Transformers fanboy because of my hate for the Bayformers films, but I don’t give a shit about Transformers (I just hate exceptionally stupid movies). What I do care about is Masters of the Universe, and I recognize there is no possible way any movie Hollywood can produce could live up to the utterly impossible standards in my nerd-mind. I’m not even going to pretend there’s a chance I won’t be insanely butthurt at whatever Sony churns out. If I’m lucky, the script will just meander around Sony like it did at Warner Bros., before toppling back into development hell. I would infinitely prefer that over seeing He-Man as some kind of astronaut and Skeletor as some magic-hating robot dude. (Via Nerd Bastards)
