Toy Trifecta: Ultimate FX Lightsaber, Rurouni Kenshin, Venture Bros.

? I am so preposterously late on this news, these are already out in stores, but Hasbro has begun releasing a kid-friendly version of their awesome Force FX Lightsabers. By this I mean they are plastic, as well as a bit smaller and more kid-size, but they still have the awesome blade-extending/retracting light-up, action, motion-sensor-controlled sounds, clashing effects, all the shit the expensive Force FX Lightsabers did. But the real difference is that these things only cost $35. I’m not lying when I say I would have killed several of my school chums to have one of these as a kid. Nerd parents, if you don’t buy one of these for each of your kids, you have failed.

? Revoltech is making an action figure of Kenshin of the Rurouni Kenshin anime, thanks to the new movies, I guess. Tomopop has pics. It’s not the best figure Revoltech has made by a long shot, but anytime a popular anime series gets an articulated action figure I think it’s worth celebrating.

? The 3 3/4th-inch Venture Bros. figures from Bif Bang Pow are now available for pre-order. Series 1 contains Hank, Dean, Dr. Venture in his red speedsuit, Dr. Mrs. The Monarch, and Phantom Limb; series 2 contains Brock, The Monarch, Shore Leave in his Sphinx uniform (SPHINX!), Molotov Cocktease and Baron Underbheit; and series 3 contains Dr. Orpheus, Dr. Henry Killinger, Jefferson Twilight, H.E.L.P.eR, and Henchmen #1. Just sayin’.
