Videogame Trifecta: Dragon Age, Batman Arkham City, Soul Calibur V

? Felicia Day is starring in the Dragon Age II DLC Mark of the Assassin, due out on October 11th. Specifically, it’s her DA character that starred in the live-action Redemption series, which is pretty groovy. Like most Dragon Age characters, her digital doppleganger is an interesting combination of incredibly accurate, weirdly attractive and very, very creepy.

? GameTrailers TV has an episode partially devoted to Arkham City. If you don’t want to sit through all 20 minutes — and I really wouldn’t recommend it — let me go ahead and tell you there are two new gadgets, a taser gun-thingy and some tech stolen from Mr. Freeze that affects both water and enemies, and one new villain — Deadshot. He shows up at 13:17, if you want to see him and his bitchin’ mustache.

? I’m getting a really, really bad feeling about Soul Calibur V. Partially because the games have just been getting worse in generall, and partially because of this new character whose weapon is some kind of magical glowing tetherball. I know the characters were never particularly realistic — what with the ghost pirates and all — but I felt like the series was much better when the fighting was more realistic. Or at least when the only ones who could pull off ridiculous bullshit were the evil bosses. Goddammit.
