Mattel Batman and Robin 1966 2-Pack Revealed

As you may recall, the set wasn’t entirely ready to show at Toy Fair, where Mattel displayed a mock-up with cardboard cutouts.

Now there’s an official press still, and while I like it very much, I have to ask – is the company really going to cheap out and not provide the Bat-rope?

Also – you couldn’t have added a base support to help display the thing vertically without nailing it to the wall? Holy poor planning!

Ehh, we’ll all get it anyway – so far, they’re making Robin exclusive to this set so that even casual fans have to.
