Super Terrific Japanese Thing: Transforming Sushi Makes for Quite the Maki-Nation

According to many of you, the Michael Bay movies took giant robots and turned them into chopped liver, so this isn’t really that new a concept. To be fair, though, these aren’t exactly Transformers – like the Kre-O sets, they need to be disassembled and reassembled rather than having a few parts twisted around. Nor do they actually become robots at any point – they just go from raw ingredient to sushi.

Made by Bandai, they’ll be available from Gachapon machines in Japan next month.

Meanwhile, here at home, Hasbro still insists that nobody would buy that robot Mountain Dew dispenser from the first Bayformers movie. If nothing else, I think Japan quite provably would.
