This Marvel vs. DC Fan Trailer Is an Amazing Edit, and Should Be Called “Dawn of Fan-Boners”

The live-action movie that will never, ever happen – although who knows; we once said that about Spider-Man – gets an expertly edited fan trailer that really shows you what great illusions the right cuts can create. Watching this is like watching a magic show – you know it’s not real, and you kinda-sorta think you know how it’s being done, but it’s done so well you can just lie back and let it fool you with a big ol’ grin on your face.

“Alex Luthor” is pretty obviously a pseudonym – my guess is this guy actually works as an editor professionally. And he’s also apparently the only guy who likes Ryan Reynolds’ Green Lantern as much as I do.

About Author

Luke Y. Thompson has been writing professionally about movies and pop-culture since 1999, and has also been an actor in some extremely cheap culty and horror movies you will probably never hear much about (he is nonetheless mostly proud of them, as he met his wife on one). As editor of The Robot's Voice since 2012, he can take the blame for the majority of the site's content, all of which he creates because he loves you very, very much. (Although he loves nachos more. Sorry.) Prior to TRV, Luke wrote for publications that include the New Times LA, Los Angeles CityBeat, E! Online, OC Weekly, Geekweek, GeekChicDaily, The L.A. Times, The Village Voice, LA Weekly, and Nerdist
