Normally I would watch a trailer like this (think Jeff Bridges in Seventh Son) and wonder what exactly was going through the mind of anyone who’d sign up for it. In the case of Vin Diesel, though, I’m pretty sure I know. He’s well-known to be an avid Dungeons and Dragons player, and this is basically his chance to LARP with Frodo Baggins. What gaming geek wouldn’t leap at the chance?
And that gives me hope that there might be something to The Last Witch Hunter, even as what we see here are mostly just the usual generic digital Van Helsing critters. That beard, though…
