Normally I would groan at a selfie gag – but Vin Diesel comes off so serious, especially in the really incongruently dumb fake beard, that it’s welcome here.
It also looks like they rebuilt the Bayformers version of Devastator out of sticks and made it a villain. Really hoping this is dumb fun and not Seventh Son-style “the lead actor is just messing with everyone” dumb. “Paint It Black” is kind of an obvious choice, after all…
